Short answer

YouTube has no switch for the sidebar suggestions. Turn on “Hide recommendations” in ytbud for YouTube to remove the sidebar and the end-of-video wall while keeping playlists. “Hide comments” and “Hide end-screen cards” clear the rest.

What YouTube lets you do

Pausing watch history empties the home page feed, but the suggestions next to every video stay. “Not interested” removes one video at a time.

With ytbud, step by step

  1. Add ytbud to Chrome.
  2. Open Tools → Focus.
  3. Turn on Hide recommendations. Add Hide comments, Hide end-screen cards and Turn off autoplay for a clean page.
