How to see how long a YouTube playlist is

Without an extension

Add up the durations under each thumbnail, or paste the playlist link into a playlist length calculator site.

With ytbud, step by step

1. Add ytbud to Chrome and turn on Playlist duration in Tools → Buttons under the video.
2. Open any playlist page, or a video playing from a playlist.
3. The total and the time left appear next to the playlist title.

Good to know

Honest about long lists

YouTube loads up to 200 items at a time. Items not loaded yet show as “+N unknown” instead of being guessed.

Finish sooner

At 1.5× with “Real time left” on, you see the time remaining at your speed.
